STUFF TO MAKE SURE IS IN YOUR BLOG

Hi All

Nice to see so much good work in class today, keep it up people.

Here's what needs to go into your blog as evidence over the next coming week.

-Include photos of all your models. Say who they are and what they are wearing/how they are dressed

-Include any test samples for your front cover and contents page

-Include your final photo choices BEFORE and AFTER any Photoshopping

-Include your Front Page and Contents Page AS THEY ARE RIGHT NOW. Detail 1. what is complete and 2. what needs changing and why.

-Include any feedback that I offered today during classtime

This MUST be done by next week. It seems like alot but you've already done the work - you just need to evidence it accordingly if you haven't already done so.

How to easily evidence your 'ideal reader'

I found this blog from a Media student at another college. She found a really clever way of identifying her 'ideal reader' for the film she was making. Click on it and follow her method - you'd be mad not to, it's easy marks.

Hi All

Hi Guys

Unfortunately, due to exceptional family circumstances, I will not be in school at all this week. I am currently in Germany and have very limited computer access to plase do not reply to this message.

I would like you all to crack on with planning your main tasks for coursework. Take on board the notes from Thursday's lesson to plan your research if you have not already done so (Tanique - ask to copy someone's notes). Research existing magazine covers online. Use the exemplar material on Fronter. Start to plan your photoshoot. That should keep you busy enough.

By next week I will expect you to have come up with a title, identified your ideal reader, come up with layouts for ALL FOUR PAGES and blogged all your findings accordingly. If anyone still owes me Preliminary material I need that too.

Also, the footage of the preliminary evaluations is also on Fronter in the Resources areas. If you are still stuck for something to do, select the part you are in using Moviemaker and embed the material into your blog. If you are really clever, you can record a voiceover to go 'over the top' to explain more clearly what you did, the feedback you received and how you responded accordingly. Use Audacity freeware to help with this (Google it if you don't know what I'm talking about) You may have to do this at home using a headset. If you can't, don't worry, but edit your part down accordingly and embed it.

Thanks and sorry for not being in school

Footage

Wha Gwarn?

Hope you had a nice half term. Just to let you know that all the footage for the Preliminary Evaluation has been uploaded onto Fronter for your editing purposes. Go to our room, then go to Resources and then the named file. It's all in there.

I have also changed the front page. Have a look around, especially at the youtube examples when you get home. It will give an idea of the sort of thing we will be doing after Christmas.

Remember - all coursework in by tomorrow please (Thursday)
